After a quarter century of successful annual Telethon fund-raising events, the Carmel Education Foundation starts the next quarter century of Telethons with a few changes. First, the historic performing arts showcase, featuring music ensembles and choirs from the Carmel Clay elementary and middle schools, was held on Thursday, February 16, 2012. This event was taped live by CHTV students and edited in post-production for broadcast on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 and Thursday, March 22, 2012.
These dates corresponded with the phone-a-thon component of the annual Telethon that was held March 20-22, 2012. Student and adult volunteers called members of the community asking for their pledge of support for the Carmel Education Foundation. Funds raised through the Telethon help to fund the Foundation’s education grants to Carmel Clay teachers.
