Both the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers seasons have started giving Hoosier sports fans something to look forward to. For the first time since January both of these teams are back in action as the Pacers kicked off their season with a close win against the Pistons last Wednesday in Detroit. Since then they’ve lost to the Knicks in N.Y., and then a overtime thriller against the 76ers where they came up short in their home opener Sunday. The Pacers will look to rebound as they take on the Magic in Orlando on Monday the 28th.
The Pacers will also get a chance to avenge their Eastern Conference Sweep from last season agains the Celtics in Indy on Wednesday the 30th. The Celtics lead by star Forward Jason Tatum, are currently 3-0 on the season. In their home opener against the Knicks they tied the NBA single game 3-point record with 29. They’ll take on Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the Milwaukee Bucks at home before heading to Indianapolis Wednesday.
On the other side of Indy the Colts are currently sitting at .500 after a tough loss to CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans Sunday. The Colts were the first to score 7 with a 69-yard pass from Anthony Richardson to Josh Downs. This was quickly answered by a Joe Mixon rush touchdown which led to a back and forth game that finished with a score of 23-20 in favor of the Texans.
The Colts will look to rebound against the Minnesota Vikings in Primetime next Sunday, November 3rd. The Vikings are currently 5-2, and on a 2 game losing streak dropping games to both the Lions, and the Rams. Anthony Richardson, who has been struggling so far, will have even more pressure on him next week in his first primetime game.
The Pacers, with a 1-2 record currently sit at 13th in the Eastern Conference, but are only 2 games behind the leader. The Colts are sitting just outside the playoff picture halfway through the season with a 4-4 record they are 8th in the AFC. Indy fans better buckle up because this is just the beginning of a long season for both teams.
