INDIANAPOLIS- I’m Mason Bathke and I attended Grey Day 2024. Here’s what you need to know.
The venue was at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Shakewell, EKKSTACY, Pouya, Denzel Curry, Haarper, and The $uicideBoy$ or Ruby Da cherry and Scrim were the main artists attending.
I spent around $200 to get merchandise and attend. My ticket was $80 with $30 worth of fees. The two tee shirts I bought were $80.
The energy in the stadium was intense, most of the sections were either singing or standing and dancing.
Pouya, Haarper and Denzel Curry were my favorite openers. I was already a fan of Pouya but this show put me onto Haarper and Denzel. Haarper had immense energy and really just vibed with the crowd. He started the show with an arm brace on his left arm as he was recovering from an injury, but he ended up asking the crowd if he should remove it, to which we said yes. Pouya played some of my favorite songs of his. SUPERMAN IS DEAD, Florida Thang, Five Six and Aftershock. I ended up screaming the lyrics to the point of losing my voice. As you would expect, $uicideBoy$ had the most attention from the crowd. They played many of the public’s favorite songs like, FOR THE LAST TIME, DIEMONDS, Avalon, Not Even Ghosts Are This Empty, Us Vs. Them. The Boys also played 2 songs with features, Whole Lotta Grey with Shakewell, and South Side $uicide with Pouya.
The boys Scrim and Ruby had a PSA they gave about mental health. They expressed their problems and hoped to show someone they’re not alone if they’re struggling and need a reason to go on. They express that they would love to be that reason. It was really touching and heartwarming.
All in all, I enjoyed my experience at 2024 Grey Day.
