As the temperature drops outside, and we get closer to winter, students and staff at Carmel High School look forward to a well needed winter break. However, before we start winter break students need to finish the semester strong with ACE week. ACE (Assessments and Culminating Experiences) week for the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year occurs from Monday, December 16th through Thursday, December 19th. Attendance for ACEs is mandatory, but students will be allowed to leave after their ACE. Buses will run at their regularly scheduled time so if students choose to leave early they must provide their own transportation. One major change with this year’s ACE schedule is that testing on half days is now going to start at 9:05 and occur in the first half of the day instead of the afternoon. The afternoon will be reserved for Lunch and Study and Resource Time in which students can catch up on work or see a teacher if prearranged for help in a class. ACEs for each course and teacher are different, ranging from unit tests and final assessments to projects and presentations so if you have any questions about a specific class’s ACE ask your teacher and they will be able to assist you.
