CHTV attended both the Intercollegiate Broadcasting Awards in New York City and the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters Annual Conference in Indianapolis this weekend and Monday afternoon. The students and staff worked very hard and these awards are the summation of their hard work.
At the Intercollegiate Broadcasting Awards ceremony, CHTV received first place national honors in a number of categories:
- Best Sports Broadcast: CHTV Sports Team for Carmel vs. Lawrence Central Football
- Best Sports Director: Addy Modrall
- Best Variety Show for CHTV’s KidCast:Selah Kearby, Brenna Markland, Coral Tretola
- Best Social Media for CHTV’s Instagram page: Aidan Vahrenkamp
- Best Promo Video for Carmel Football Sectionals: Coyer Paradise and Dylan Delise
- Best Promo Poster for CHTV Anchor: Ava Luo
At the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters Annual conference, CHTV also received honors in a number of categories:
- Our Broadcasting team of CHTV and WHJE took home Emerging Media School of the Year for the 2nd year in a row. We also placed in the runner-up category for School of the Year in Video, Sports and Radio.
- Motion Graphics (1st place in state) for Onitsuka Tiger: Jessica Dinh
- Music Video (1st place in state) for Skate: Isaiah Henderson
- Short Film (1st place in state) for The Audition: Isaiah Henderson
- Branded Hype Video (2nd place in state) for Carmel Football Sectionals: Coyer Paradise and Dylan Delise
- Motion Graphics for CHTV Motion Graphics: Coyer Paradise
- Live Sports Football (Honorable Mention) for Carmel vs. Lawrence Central Football: CHTV Sports Team
- Social Media (Honorable Mention) for CHTV’s Instagram page: Aidan Vahrenkamp
