FINAL: Just days after securing the 53-51 overtime victory against Plainfield, many wondered how the Carmel Boy’s Varsity Basketball team would respond against a resilient Fishers’ Tiger squad. The Greyhounds responded by defeating the Tigers 60-58 on the road in another overtime victory on Tuesday, December 6th, to move to 4-1 on the season. In a tightly contested game featuring numerous lead changes and physical play throughout, with just seconds remaining, Senior Sam Orme forced a turnover and scored the game-winning layup through traffic to give Carmel the win. Orme led the way for the Greyhounds, scoring 25 points on efficient shooting, while Senior Jake Griffin and Sophomore Alex Couto each had 13 points and 7 points. On a team filled with team wins, the Greyhounds continue to surge forward. Moving forward, Carmel will face off against the 2-0 Noblesville Millers on Friday, December 9th, so be sure to show out and give your support. Go Hounds!
