Carmel High School’s marching band is one of the top bands throughout all the schools in Indiana, and in America. In the past 4 months, our marching greyhounds have really put in the work with hours of practice throughout summer and the school year, and achieved so much. This year’s show was named “Prophecy” and incorporated plague masks and snakes in the theme. The band has participated in multiple competitions throughout the season, constantly competing with Avon marching for first place throughout all competitions. Our greyhound’s season ended with grand national finals and just before that was the semi-finals. In the semifinals, the band won in the overall category with Hebron and Avon following, then took first place followed by Avon marching black and gold. Finally, in the national finals that took place in Lucas Oil on 11/11/23, Carmel received second place with a score of 97.275 right behind Avon with a score of 97.475. This year for our marching greyhounds has been a very eventful one, and we are extremely proud of their success.
