Purdue is currently ranked number 2 in the country behind only Uconn. After falling short with a great team the previous two years, the Boilermakers are primed to make a deep run this march. The team is currently 22-2 with losses only to Northwestern and Nebraska. Center Zach Edey is playing lights out, dominating game after game. Right now he is averaging 23 points and 12 rebounds a game. He has improved every year he has played and it will be interesting to see how he finishes out the year. Head coach Matt Painter said he thinks this is the best basketball team he has ever coached and is excited to see what they can do. Last year Purdue entered the tournament at the number 1 seed and embarrassingly were upset by 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson in perhaps the biggest upset in college basketball history. Now with that chip on their shoulder the Boilermakers do not plan on letting history repeat itself.
