As spring approaches, preparations are underway for the 2026 Greyhounds varsity baseball season. With a competitive schedule early on, the team is looking to make a strong statement in Indiana’s toughest baseball environment.
I asked Jackson Treadway what he thinks about this team this year, “I’m excited for this season, I feel like we’re pretty underrated and we’re ready for the competition we are going up against. I have high expectations and I like our chances.”
The season starts off with a scrimmage against Hamilton Southeastern on Wednesday, March 25, giving Carmel an early opportunity to set the lineup and keep building chemistry. After that, the Greyhounds quickly transition into greater competition, including their highly anticipated home game against Avon High School. The rivalry intensifies even further with a May 2nd showdown at Victory Field, one of the best Triple A ballparks in Indiana in the MLB and the best ballpark in all of Indiana.
Carmel’s schedule stays competitive as the team faces Noblesville High School on the road April 27th and Fishers High School on May 4. These away games will be crucial in testing the team’s ability to perform under pressure.
At home, the Greyhounds will host strong teams such as Center Grove High School and McCutcheon High School, both of which are known for their competitive baseball traditions and programs. These matchups represent critical tests for Carmel’s seasonal development. With experienced players and new talent, Carmel enters the season with high expectations.
As opening day nears, Carmel High School and Fans will have plenty of games to look forward to this spring.
