Fox 59 meteorologist Brian Wilkes made a guest star appearance for CHTV’s weather segment for the May 5th broadcast, getting on air to deliver the weather for the whole school. Breaking the 4th wall several times to comment on the green screen and ask the school what they were going to do for summer, to no response as he was talking to the camera, the excited weatherman entertained and warned of incoming rain later today.
Wilkes then proceeded to give CHTV’s SRT an impromptu TedTalk on the appeal of network broadcasting and news, how he became a weatherman, and about what it was like to be on the air during events like tornado watches and snowstorms.
Brian Wilkes was pulled into being a guest star by Brandy Ostojic, the teacher in charge of the Broadcasting classes of CHS and CHTV who also used to work at Fox 59, where she worked with Wilkes in person.
