CHTV+, CHTV’s official loyalty program, is now available

Help out the next generation of journalists and storytellers by supporting the all new loyalty program, CHTV+.

CARMEL, IN – Starting today, anyone with a YouTube account will be able to join CHTV+ and help support the next generation of journalists and filmmakers.

CHTV+ offers people a new way to contribute to this vital program like never before. CHTV+ will offer many benefits to members such as a free sticker pack¹, access to a new merchandise shop², early access to CHTV content, and birthday shoutouts on the newscasts. Members will also have their names featured on the CHTV website and at the end of all of the newscasts. This service will be seamlessly integrated into the existing CHTV YouTube channel through the use of YouTube Channel Memberships. Using this, CHTV+ members will also be given access to custom membership badges and emojis.

“I am beyond thrilled that we are finally able to launch this brand new loyalty program. When we first announced our plans to create CHTV+, we were met with a positive response and I look forward to seeing how people respond to the final product. So much time and effort has been put into CHTV+ and I am so glad that we can finally share it with CHTV fans and alumni.” said Jack Ringenberg, one of CHTV’s Station Managers.

CHTV+ will launch with two pricing tiers. Both tier prices pay homage to old CHTV channel numbers. The first tier is CHTV+ Standard. This plan is around $21/year and features everything mentioned previously minus the sticker pack. The second tier is CHTV+ Deluxe. This plan is around $99/year and features everything CHTV+ Standard has, with the addition of a thank you video and sticker pack.

“With the money raised, we will be able to update our older and broken equipment, keep our station running, keep our award-nominated website up and running, and so much more!”, stated Ringenberg.

To become a CHTV+ member and have access to CHTV+’s benefits, users can simply go to CHTV’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@CHTVCarmelTelevision) and press the new “join” button. After you join, you will be able to fill out a short form to ensure that you have access to all of the benefits of CHTV+.

About CHTV

CHTV (Carmel High School Television) is a completely student-run television station that was started in 1978 by Hal Espey. The program is currently supervised by Brandy Ostojic. CHTV is a media elective class that is a part of the communication department’s Greyhound Media Network. It runs from freshman year to senior year and it is the core of everything Carmel High School – news, sports, and entertainment stories. Every SSRT (except late starts) CHTV will live stream a newscast to get you up to speed. Not to mention they cover events and sports games.

Selah Kearby, Production Team

Selah Kearby is a senior this year and is a member of the production crew. This is her 4th year being in CHTV! She loves to be in front of the camera and help out with whatever needs done. She loves to write and helps with website stories and show scripts. She is also a part of repertory theatre and enjoys preforming with her friends. She loves to read and her favorite book is "The Ballad of Never After" by Stephanie Garber. She also loves to be active outside and hang out with her friends and family. She has 4 cats, one of which has one eye and is named Luna. Her favorite food is pasta and her favorite color is pink! She loves all things creative and is excited to dive deeper into video creation and editing.

Aarini Pareek, Talent Manager

Aarini Pareek is a Senior this year and is ready to take on the responsibilies of Talent Manager and Director of Diversity and Inclusion. This is Aarini's fourth and final year at CHTV, and will be using her experience anchoring last year to help coach CHTV's talent and make CHTV a more inclusive environment both for staff and for students at the high school. Outside of CHTV, she is a part of various school clubs, including co-president of Green Action Club, Hindi Club, President-Founder of Piansemble, and is a Kathak dancer. She also enjoys playing the piano, making art, and spending time with her family. Her favorite part about CHTV is the friendships she has made, and is looking forward to working with the CHTV family even more this year!

Jack Ringenberg, Station Manager

Jack was one of CHTV's former Station Managers. As the Station Manager, Jack oversaw every aspect of CHTV. In 2024, the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System gave Jack the title of "Best Student Television Station Manager", making Jack the nation's best TV Student Station Manager. In addition to being one of the Station Managers, Jack was also the Senior Vice President of Website Development and the Director of Operations for CHTV+. As the SVP of Website Development, Jack was responsible for overseeing everything that was posted on the website, writing press releases, frequently updating the website, and adding old CHTV videos to the site. Jack Ringenberg is also the founder and CEO of his media firm, Jack Ringenberg Media. When Jack was CHTV's Station Manager, he drastically transformed the station to better appeal to students and teachers. As a result of his efforts, CHTV saw a dramatic increase in state and national awards. Jack is also responsible for the creation of the highly-praised CHTV series, Chromebook Tech Tips, the highly-praised documentary, The CHTV Archives, and the award-winning series, Media Minds and The Jack Ringenberg Show. Jack is still a part of CHTV, just in a smaller capacity. Jack now serves as CHTV's Head of Archival Research and is the curator of CHTV's expansive archives.

This fall, Jack started attending Ball State University where he will be studying media production.
